TODAY, Etsy, the global two-sided marketplace for unique and creative goods, joins the growing ranks of EDiMA, the voice of the leading internet companies in Europe.
“I am delighted to announce that EDiMA is growing once again and to welcome Etsy to our membership. Our new members, Etsy, and also Spotify, cement EDiMA’s position as the voice of the leading internet companies in Europe,” said Siada El Ramly, Director General of EDiMA.
“Digital policymaking is complex and needs to take account of a huge array of business models. With the addition of Etsy, EDiMA now represents an even more diverse set of companies. This will be invaluable to our ability to contribute to the discussions on digital policy in the coming years” continued Siada El Ramly, Director General of EDiMA.
“Etsy is glad to join EDiMA in advocating for policies that support and grow the digital economy and enable global e-commerce in a way that ensures a safe and trusted online environment,” said Althea Erickson, Head of Global Advocacy and Policy at Etsy. “As part of Etsy’s efforts to keep commerce human, we look forward to positively contributing to policy and regulatory developments towards a true EU digital single market by amplifying the voice of our global community of creative micro-entrepreneurs.”
Earlier this month, Spotify, one of Europe’s best known tech companies, joined EDiMA bringing the membership to nineteen of the leading internet companies and internet products in Europe.
